Unit 1. First Light Production-Lizardo

From March to June we were working on an animation called Lizardo. About a lizardboy and his life. The funding for the production came from first light productions with this money we were able to buy lighting and model making materials such as plasticine, wire and cloth for clothes. We were helping with the general people on the street, for a protest about how much they loved Lizardo and clothes and backgrounds. I create the sky's with ink, paint and basically making a mess on a page, but it worked.

I made homemade wire armatures in a team to two. We made 6 armatures of different sizes, ages and gender, I made a fat man/women, skinny women and a frame for a dog. They were made out of a wire frame with a plasticine bodies built on top, with the fat people we use polystyrene to build up the fat, these were hard to create getting the shapes right. Then papier mache with several layers, for that we had to put vasline on the plasticine (which sir never brought) before we could papier mache, then we operated to get the plasticine out of the casting to make them light enough to stand up. It was annoying when were we drying them the plasticine would melt making a mess. As well as that I helped with making the clothes an putting skin on the armatures and dressing them ready for the photo. Once they were all correct we had to take a picture of each of the figures.

We used deedo lights in a homemade light box we switch the lights off when we were taking the images.Using three lights, key, fill and back light. We took one photo of the silhouette one of the back and one of the front, with different lights on and off.
